Meet the Mentor

Lungile Binza: MCom(IS), MBA, PhD(c)
Technology Exec| AI Passionate| Digital to the Core| Mentor|

Lungile is an experienced ICT Executive with over 20 years’ worth of knowledge in most sectors of the economy like Broadcasting, Investment Banking, Travel and Tourism, Retail Banking, Insurance, Central Banking, and Manufacturing. He’s currently the Group Executive for Technology for the SABC. Previously he’s held the Chief Information Officer (CIO) position for the FNB Contact Centres and was also the CIO for South African Mint Company for 2 ½ years.

A Software Engineer by profession, Lungile holds 2 Master’s degrees, one in Business Administration (MBA) and the other in Information Systems (MCom(IS)). He’s currently finalizing his PhD in ethical Artificial Intelligence (AI).

He’s passionate about ICT Leadership Mentorship and Coaching and is also a regular attendee, speaker, and panelist at the Gartner, GovTech, and International Data Corporation (IDC) Summits and Conferences in South Africa.
